Nevis Trail Blazer’s Snowmobile Club MEETING 3/1/14

Meeting called to order by President Bill Bennett at 7:11 PM with 19 members present.

Secretary’s report:
Joel Haley motioned to accept the report

Seconded by Kent Schulte -passed

Carl Drurey motioned to approve Treasurer’s Report

Seconded by Joel Haley -passed.

Committees:
Trail Committees

-Florelle Johnson motioned to stay with Northwoods for the loan on the groomer, motion failed due to lack of a second.

-We will check to see if Northwoods will match or better the offer from True Star
Trail:
-Still grooming and there are still a lot of drifts. The new groomer has been ordered.
Membership:
-1 new member this last month.

-Business Membership
1. 4 businesses have paid
2. 5 businesses from before have not paid yet
3. 6 new businesses have signed up
  -Trail sponsor will be $100
  
  -Business Members $50 for MN USA Associate member
  
  -$155 to be a sponsor, MN USA Associate member, and their name with a diamond for the trail
  
  -12 boxes are out with our brochures

Old Business:
-Club decals were ordered and are in

-In speaking with workers from the race, the race went very well and they are looking forward to next year

-Trail side lunch will be scheduled for 3/8/14 from 11:00-2:00
New Business:
– A club trip will leave Tuesday the 4^th for Grand Rapids heading to tower and back through Grand Rapids. They should be back on Saturday.

-A trip for the following week TBD

-We will be looking into signs for road crossings of the trails for better locations.

-Elections for President will be held next month
