Club Info

The Nevis Trailblazers Snowmobile Club was founded in 1967 and has been actively maintaining and grooming area snowmobile trails ever since.

During the early years of the clubs existence, trails were groomed by towing a simple wooden drag behind a Polaris charger snowmobile. Now we have a 2014 turbo charged diesel-powered Tucker Sno Cat pulling a hydraulically operated 21 foot long, 8 foot wide steel drag. Weekly, the Tucker will run approximately 245 miles grooming trails in the Paul Bunyan State Forest, the Wilder Trails, and the east-west alternate portion of the State Heartland Recreational Trail from Park Rapids to Sno-Way #1 (5 miles west of Walker.)

The Nevis Trailblazers is an active club (membership of about 60 people) with many local family and individual members as well as many seasonal members from outside the immediate area. Club activities include organized snowmobile rides during the winter season, an annual Christmas Party in December and two club outing in a neighboring community. Each spring, club members clean the year’s accumulation of trash from the Wilder Trails, and each autumn brush them in preparation for the upcoming snowmobile season. Members also teach a Snowmobile Safety Class through the Nevis School Community Education program.

We would like you to join our club! Yearly dues are $25.00 (single membership) or 30.00 (family membership) This includes membership in Minnesota United Snowmobile Association (MnUSA).
